Name: Iona McGregor


Role: self employed seasonal work


Background: Her father is a gamekeeper and she has been fully involved will all aspects of his job. Loves to be out on a shoot day and also trains her own dogs. Also helps on other farms/estates with lambing and wool rolling.

Talented in using all parts of the game bird, will cook it and also use feathers to create pictures.


Community work: she is fully involved with the community where she lives, assisting with fundraising and litter picking.


Educational work: whilst at school she would bring in game to cook for the health and food tech department. The biology department would also use the heart, lungs and liver of deer that she would bring in.


Favourite meal: loves to cook with game, favourite would be venison steak.
